New Delhi, Feb 21 (IANS) Of the two major road connectivity projects being run in Left Wing Extremist (LWE)-affected regions of the country, the rate of progress of the recent one launched in 2016 is under criticism for its slow pace as it could only complete one-fifth of the sanctioned road length in over three-and-half years. With the current speed calculation, the 9,338 km project will take over 15 years in completing its goal.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has faced strong criticism over the issue by a parliamentary committee for the abysmally slow progress of Road Connectivity Projects in LWE affected Areas (RCPLWE) one of the major developmental initiatives of the government in nine key Maoist-hit states covering 44 districts.

Mortgage Choice has named Jason Mares as its new state manager for NSW, following the departure of David Ewens.
The major brokerage has welcomed Jason Mares, the former head of operations at La Trobe Financial Services, as its new state manager for NSW.
Mr Mares took up the position on 15 February, filling the void left by the previous long-term post-holder, David Ewens, who started a new role as national sales manager at Smartline Personal Mortgage Advisors earlier this month.
In his new role, Mr Mares will be responsible and accountable for Mortgage Choice’s recruitment, franchise team development and overall business growth in the state.
